Data Sharing & Archiving
The CLDR seeks to build infrastructure for archiving and sharing data related to rehabilitation and disability research. As federal mandates requiring the sharing of information and data from research studies supported by government funding are implemented, the need for effective methods for archiving and sharing data continues to increase.
The CLDR has developed a data archiving and sharing portal that will integrate the center's Data Directory at Cornell University with archived data at the University of Michigan's Interuniversity Consortium for Political and Social research (ICPSR). As a member of the CLDR consortium, ICPSR contributes over 40 years of data archiving and sharing experience.
In addition to archiving and sharing, the CLDR will develop webinars, workshops, presentations, and other training, tailored to fit the needs of rehabilitation science researchers as federal mandates go into effect.
The Archive of Data on Disability to Enable Policy and research (ADDEP) provides access to disability and rehabilitation related data. With input from the CLDR, ADDEP will continue to find ways to improve and facilitate collaborative research opportunities for investigators, policymakers, and practitioners by providing access to existing disability and rehabilitation datasets for secondary analyses.
